Family Planning & Sexual Health Our doctors and nurses provide a full range of contraceptive services, including coil fitting and implants. We offer sexual health screening and treatment with the help of local clinics.
Cervical Smear TestsThe Health Authority runs a recall system and our nurses do most of the routine smears.
Maternity CareOur Doctors offer pre-conception counselling, ante-natal care and post-natal care, shared with local midwives. We will support requests for home births, but do not claim to be expert obstetricians ourselves.
Child Health Surveillance We have baby clinics by appointment at the surgery to do eight-week checks. The health visitors have a drop-in baby clinic on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons,1-3pm, at Stormont clinic. . The Health Visitors offer practical support where needed for families with children up to five years old, and offer the other routine developmental checks by appointment.
Immunisations Routine children's immunisations are done in our surgery clinics and routine adult immunisations are by appointment with our nurses.For information about children's immunisations, you can visit immunisation.org.uk, an evidence-based site.
Travel clinicNEW TRAVEL CLINIC. We now have an evening travel clinic by appointment from 6:30 to 8pm on Mondays. We offer a full range of travel vaccinations, including yellow fever. First we want you to find out what travel immunisations you need from the Fit For Travel website. Do bring some cash or your cheque book as the NHS does not support all travel immunisations. Please book at least four weeks before setting off, as you may need a course of injections. 
TestsECGs, 24 hour Blood Pressure, Spirometry and Doppler ultrasound testing can be done by our practice nurses. Most Blood Tests are done by our Healthcare assistant.
Well Person ChecksMake an appointment with our nurse for a routine check-up, which may include lifestyle and dietary advice, and cholesterol measurement.
Physiotherapy and physical treatments We have a visiting NHS physiotherapist who can offer treatment for most muscular or skeletal problems. Click here for more information about the local service.
Diabetes CareThe practice runs a regular diabetic programme for organised routine checkups for diabetics either attending the surgery alone, or sharing care with local hospitals. We have a visiting diabetes nurse specialist, Lucy Chadder to help.
Chest Disease MonitoringOur nurses and doctors offer checkups for chronic bronchitis and asthma patients and help with inhaled treatments. They offer Spirometry to monitor chronic bronchitis and nebulisers for asthmatic emergencies. Wendy Kong is the respiratory nurse specialist who can offer home visits.
DieticianWe have a visiting dietician who can help patients with all of the common dietary problems, referred by our doctors or nurses.
Minor SurgeryDoctor Kroll and Doctor Lucas offer Minor Surgery, dealing with small "lumps and bumps" under local anaesthetic, and joint injections. We can provide cryotherapy (freezing with liquid nitrogen) for warts.
CounsellingJulia Rickett and Denise Clarke-Campbell, our attached counsellors, can see patients with a variety of psychological problems for a maximum of twelve one-hour sessions each. We wish we had much more of their time!
Addiction Counselling Claire Bown, our visiting addiction counsellor, can see patients with addictions to street drugs and prescribed painkillers and sedatives. He is available for one session a week. For alcohol problems, there is a local community alcohol team at St. John's Hill. Smokers are encouraged to see Tina our Smoking counsellor.
Private ConsultationsFor overseas visitors with non-urgent problems, private consultations may be arranged if not eligible for NHS care.
