HISTORY

Our surgery's website has existed in several versions: the first was developed in 1998, but it was very different from the site that you are looking at now. It had a small black-and-white freehand map, and information derived mainly from the practice leaflet. Another version of the site was designed in 1999, adding a more attractive navigational structure, a colourful A-to-Z map of the practice area, and a comments form. Later, it grew online forms for registration, cancelling appointments and ordering prescriptions, plus a news section, and more specific information about the services that the practice offered.

The present site was created in Summer 2001, and includes a more attractive set of colour schemes, a new 'modular' format for more versatile page designs, more information about staff and services available, increased linking between pages, nicer photographs of staff and services, and generally a more professional look-and-feel. Also, all information is no more than two clicks away from the homepage, and much of it is just one click away. It is fully compatible with all modern browsers, including Internet Explorer 4+, Netscape 6+ and Opera 3.5+.
