Our nurses will offer appointments for travel immunisations
and advice. Try to plan ahead and come six weeks before travel to
allow vaccines to work. |
| Malaria prophyllaxis: Travellers to areas where malaria is prevalent are advised to take preventive measures.
This may include simply covering up bare skin with clothing, sleeping under mosquito nets and using insect repellant.
However, anti-malarial tablets are recommended for many areas. Chloroquine and paludrine must be bought from chemists,
but mefloquine (Lariam) and malarone need a private prescription.
