Denise Clarke-Campbell and Rachel Orr work with the Psychological Therapies and Wellbeing Service (PTWbS) - Wandsworth The service is within GP practices in Wandsworth for people suffering from common mental health problems. The team provides individual psychological therapies for up to 12 sessions for anxiety, depression, post traumatic stress disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), eating disorders and relationship difficulties. If you come to your GP with problems that can be helped by this service you can be referred to them. You can also refer yourself. |
Addiction Counsellor
Simon Paton is our new addiction counsellor.
He comes to do a weekly clinic, working closely with Dr Henrietta Brook, to help patients with problems of substance misuse. She can work to reduce harms from street drugs and alcohol, provide substitute opiates on prescription and can also help people who want to cut down their use of tranquillisers.
DIABETES NURSE SPECIALIST
David Gammon is our attached Diabetes Nurse specialist. He attends monthly diabetic clinics in the practice and can follow up patients individually. He is involved in diabetes education for patients at St John's clinic. He is invaluable at helping patients get onto insulin treatment and control their diabetes better.
Physiotherapist
We have a physiotherapist from St Johns clinic who comes to treat our patients on Tuesdays and Fridays.
Each Physiotherapist is attached to us for six months.
The service is for adults with musculoskeletal problems.
Dietician
We have the services of a community dietician who does a monthly clinic.
Health Visitors
The Health Visitors work from Antrim House, 5-11 Stormont Road, just over Lavender Hill from the Surgery. Their telephone number is 020 8812 5735.
They have a drop-in baby clinic on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons, 1-3pm, at Stormont Clinic. They offer practical support where needed for families with children up to five years old, and offer routine developmental checks by appointment.
District Nurses
The District Nurses also work from Stormont Clinic. Their telephone number is 020 8812 5700.
They offer nursing care to housebound people and work alongside the community matron, the community ward GPs, the intermediate care team and the Trinity Hospice palliative care team.
